We know that the loss of someone you love has to be the worst thing in the world to have to go through.
All Saints Church is here for you. Just as Jesus wept and mourned with his friends when his friend Lazarus died (John 13.35), so you will find a group of friends here to support you in whatever ways we can.
If you decide to hold a funeral at All Saints, we will come and see you before the day, along with any family who wish to be involved. We will use this time to talk to you about the service and find out your wants and needs. We want to get to know you better so we can find out exactly how we can make things a little easier for you.
We can provide you with the full use of our facilities in our Church. We are very lucky to have some very talented organists and an excellent Church Choir who can play / sing at the funeral depending on when you would like to hold your service. We can also provide Church flowers. Our 'flower fairies' do a brilliant job of making our Church look vibrant and attractive all year round.
We completely believe that it is important to keep the memory of a loved one alive long after the end of a funeral. After all, love does not die just because a person has.
If you would like, your loved one's name will be placed in our book of remembrance, always kept in the Church Lady Chapel. Each year, on the anniversary of your loved one's passing, their name will be read out during the prayers in the Holy Communion service.
Also, you can choose to have any names read out at our All Souls service, held each November. This is a remembrance service to think about all the people who have passed before us.
In our Lady Chapel, we have our votive candle stand. Here you can light a candle. There are prayer cards you can use, or you may wish to sit quietly with your own thoughts.
Whatever your wants and needs, we can help.
'Jesus answered him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterwards you will understand." '
We are a Fairtrade Church and always will be.
